Gastón Gallardo, known as Galo, is fascinated by the memory held by objects and their transformation by the environment. In his studio, he collects used items and machine scraps to create new artworks. Galo's patient and observant nature is reflected in his frequent use of defensive or threatening animal figures, such as jaguars and bulls, made from materials like metal and plastic.

His creative process is like assembling a puzzle without knowing the final image, involving writing, sketching, and selecting materials. At 23, Galo has transitioned from painting to large sculptures and continues to explore new techniques. He recently completed a mural reflecting on ecosystem fragility and enjoys exhibiting in diverse venues, from galleries to public spaces.
