Leon Alva

Leon Alva, born in Mexico City in 1963, is an artist known for his boundless imagination and creation of magical worlds in his paintings. Influenced by monumental murals and guided by family members who were part of the Mexican Muralist Movement, he developed a unique artistic style.

Following the 1985 earthquake that destroyed his childhood surroundings, Alva relocated to Cancun, where he became the city's most prolific painter with a career spanning over 30 years. His work has been exhibited in over 40 solo and group exhibitions globally, including cities like New York, Miami, Osaka, Geneva, Havana, and Paris. Alva's artistic journey is meticulously documented, showcasing his enduring impact on the art scene.
