Fading backgrounds create depth and perspective in Alex Voinea's abstract work, featuring almost hyper-realist definition. Voinea conveys vibrancy through drippings and sweeping brushstrokes in saturated and fluorescent colors, bringing movement and fluidity to his paintings.

Inspired by experiments with paint on vibrating surfaces, such as speakers at full volume, Voinea captures and freezes splashes and streams of color, creating an expressive big bang of color. Born in Romania in 1973, Voinea left after the revolution, moving to Italy and now residing in Sitges (Barcelona). He has exhibited his work in cities like Brussels, Paris, London, Milan, Amsterdam, New York, and Los Angeles.
