Alberto Spinetti


He is a sculptor and painter working with diverse media, including assemblages and free-standing sculptures in bronze, iron, and wood. His minimalist yet colorful works feature elongated, melancholic human figures often accompanied by geometric objects reminiscent of ancient civilizations or Mayan iconography.

Spinetti earned his BA from the Armando Reverón Fine Arts University Institute in Caracas and furthered his studies at the Kyoto City University of Arts in Japan and the Higher Polytechnic Institute of Valencia, Spain. He has exhibited internationally, including in Japan, the US, Spain, Colombia, and Venezuela, and participated in New York Art Week in 2011. His work is part of a Norwegian art collection. He currently resides and works in Mexico City.
